Lyft has announced updates to its rewards program, benefiting both personal and business riders. The changes, effective from August 4, primarily enhance benefits for business riders enrolled in their company's Lyft Business program. These riders will earn Lyft Cash on most rides without needing activation. Standard work rides will yield 6% back, while premium and airport rides offer 8% back.

Business riders linked with loyalty partners like Hilton Honors or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan will also see increased earnings. Hilton Honors members can earn six points per dollar spent on most business rides, whereas Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn between four to six miles per dollar.

For personal riders who have selected Alaska Airlines as their rewards partner, the new structure offers two miles per dollar on everyday Lyft rides and three miles per dollar on airport trips and premium modes. Alaska Airlines remarked that this enhancement allows frequent travelers to accumulate miles more quickly.

If a rider opts not to select Alaska Airlines, they can choose Hilton Honors for three points per dollar or Bilt Rewards for two points per dollar on eligible rides. Additionally, Bilt points can be used for ride payments.

Chase cardholders benefit from stacking these earnings with a 5% reward through September 30, 2027. Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders receive up to $10 monthly in-app credits applicable to various ride modes until the same date.

The partnership with DoorDash DashPass offers further discounts: 10% off on-demand rides and 20% off scheduled airport rides through July 30. Lyft also provides a guide comparing airport parking costs versus using ride-hailing services at major U.S. airports.

Overall, these changes aim to make riding with Lyft more rewarding for frequent users.
