Last week, a viral video involving Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company's HR director, caught the attention of many online. The two were seen hugging at a Coldplay concert, leading to speculation about infidelity. Upon noticing they were being recorded, they attempted to hide. This incident quickly spread across social media and became the subject of numerous memes.

Ryanair, known for its bold marketing strategies, was quick to capitalize on this viral moment. The airline reposted the video with a humorous caption: “Ryanair Coldplay, splitting up couples.” Ryanair's approach aligns with its history of engaging in cheeky online content under the leadership of CEO Michael O'Leary.

Royal Jordanian Airlines also took advantage of the situation by promoting its nonstop flights from Amman to New York with a subtle nod to the vacancy left by Byron's resignation. Their post read: “There’s a vacancy in the US. Fly to apply. Amman-New York starting at JD 499. Our wings, your cold play.”

Both airlines demonstrated how marketing strategies can incorporate humor and current events to engage audiences and promote their services.
