Citi has introduced a new premium travel credit card, the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card, as a successor to the Citi Prestige Card. This long-awaited card carries an annual fee of $595 and offers several benefits aimed at travelers. The card's features include over $800 in statement credits, travel protections, and Priority Pass lounge access. Notably, it is the only card providing Admirals Club access through four yearly lounge passes.

"The information for the Citi Prestige Card and Citi Strata Elite Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy," according to The Points Guy. "The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer."

Cardholders will earn 12 points per dollar spent on hotels, car rentals, and attractions booked through the Citi Travel portal. Airfare booked through the same portal earns 6 points per dollar. Dining at restaurants during specific times on weekends also offers elevated earning rates.

Coinciding with its launch, Citi added American Airlines AAdvantage as a transfer partner to its ThankYou Rewards program. Eligible cards for this feature include the Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, and Citi Prestige.

"Eric Rosen/The Points Guy: The Citi Strata Elite also has access to the rest of the transfer partners of the Citi ThankYou Rewards program."

Authorized users can be added for $75 each and will receive their own Priority Pass Select memberships.

While some perks are unique compared to other cards, such as elevated weekend dining rates and lifestyle credits, there are limitations like no bonus categories for direct travel bookings. Additionally, while it includes a Priority Pass Select membership, it lacks branded airport lounges.

"Zach Griff/The Points Guy: The card offers several statement credits..."

Despite these drawbacks, those who frequently use American Airlines may find value in its offerings.
