Japan Airlines has announced special offers to promote travel to Shikoku, including a group discount and a limited-time sightseeing train package, according to a post on X.

Shikoku is renowned for its diverse landscapes, historic temples, and vibrant local culture, making it a sought-after destination for domestic tourism in Japan. According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the region is especially famous for the 88-temple pilgrimage route, attracting both spiritual seekers and adventure travelers. In recent years, Japanese rail and airline companies have launched targeted campaigns to boost regional travel to Shikoku.

According to Japan Airlines’ official campaign page, the "Free Course" allows travelers to obtain a 5,000 yen discount per group when using designated airports in Shikoku. This initiative aims to encourage group visits, supporting local economies through increased tourism spending and regional flight activity. The discount is part of a broader set of travel promotions specifically designed to make Shikoku more accessible for both Japanese and international tourists.
