Allegiant Air has announced the addition of seven new nonstop routes and the commencement of service at Fort Myers (RSW), expanding its all-nonstop network. This information was shared in a post on X.

According to USA Today, Allegiant Air is known for its strategy of connecting smaller and midsize cities to vacation destinations through nonstop service. The airline focuses on markets often underserved by other carriers, filling a unique niche in the U.S. aviation sector while providing affordable options to travelers. New route announcements are frequent as Allegiant adjusts its network in response to changing leisure travel demand and tourism trends.

The official Allegiant Air newsroom states that the airline's new expansion introduces nonstop service between Appleton/Green Bay, WI; Des Moines, IA; and Allentown, PA to Fort Myers, FL (RSW). Additional routes will connect Nashville, TN to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL; Toledo, OH to Sarasota/Bradenton, FL; New Orleans, LA to Punta Gorda/Fort Myers, FL; and Fort Wayne, IN to Fort Lauderdale/Miami, FL. These city pairs have been selected to increase access to popular leisure destinations with schedules and fares designed for travelers seeking direct flights and budget-friendly vacation options.

As reported by The Points Guy, Allegiant’s entry into the Fort Myers market represents a significant addition to its growing presence in Florida. The airline already serves several other airports in the state. By focusing on secondary and regional airports, Allegiant can maintain lower operational costs and offer more competitive fares than many legacy carriers. The newly announced routes are part of a broader network expansion aimed at providing more nonstop options for travelers in the Midwest, South, and Gulf Coast regions.

According to Allegiant Air’s official website, Allegiant is a Las Vegas-based ultra-low-cost carrier that began operations in 1999. It specializes in linking underserved U.S. cities with major leisure markets. Known for its no-frills pricing model that allows passengers to customize their travel experience while keeping base fares low, Allegiant continues expanding its national footprint by adding new routes focused on nonstop travel to sought-after vacation spots.
