Qatar Airways has announced its winter schedule, which includes a significant increase in flights between London and Doha. For the first time, the airline will operate up to ten daily flights from London Heathrow, the busiest airport in the United Kingdom. When these are combined with services operated by British Airways on behalf of Qatar Airways and additional Qatar Airways flights from London Gatwick, there will be as many as 14 daily departures between London and Doha this winter season. This is an increase from the previous high of 12 daily services.
The new schedule is set to begin on Sunday, October 26, when northern hemisphere airlines switch to their winter timetables. The increased frequency will continue through Saturday, March 28, 2026. As of August 1, the planned operations include nine to ten daily Qatar Airways flights from Heathrow using a mix of Airbus A350-900s, A350-1000s, A380s, and Boeing 777-300ERs. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays there will be ten departures; on other days there will be nine. British Airways will operate two daily flights using Boeing 777-200ERs or Boeing 787 Dreamliners. From Gatwick, Qatar Airways will offer ten weekly flights with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Freight capacity is also notable in this operation. Over 210 tonnes of cargo space per day will be available from Heathrow alone during this period.
