FedEx Colombia has reported a 13% year-over-year increase in the weight of its fashion industry exports, moving 4.7 million pounds between June 2024 and May 2025. The company also noted an 8% rise in revenue and a 6% growth in shipment volume from the Colombian fashion sector by the end of its fiscal year. These results highlight the trust placed by Colombian entrepreneurs in FedEx’s logistics capabilities to reach international markets.

The growth occurs against a backdrop of significant global opportunities. In 2024, the United States imported more than $6.2 billion worth of textiles, mainly from India, China, and Pakistan. Colombia accounted for only about 1.1% of U.S. textile imports according to Inexmoda data from May 2025, indicating potential for further expansion.

Through its SONNAR program developed with Inexmoda, FedEx supports Colombian brands as they enter international markets. Now in its fifth consecutive year, SONNAR provides mentorships, training, and exposure at key commercial events. More than 180 businesses have used this platform to export their products to destinations including the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Some of these brands are participating at Colombiamoda this year in Medellín.

FedEx provides exporters with daily Boeing 767-300 flights from Bogotá and Medellín to Miami six times per week, connecting them with over 220 countries and territories worldwide. As sustainability, digital transformation, and international expansion become key drivers for Colombian fashion brands’ growth strategies, FedEx positions itself as a strategic partner committed to supporting the sector’s future.
