Etihad Airways has introduced a new long-haul route, marking its longest service in the past five years. The airline is initially operating the flight four times per week using the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Plans are in place to increase frequency to daily flights during the upcoming winter season.
James Pearson, a route analyst for Simple Flying, provided commentary after traveling on the inaugural flight as a guest. "Forward bookings must have been very strong!" said Pearson.
The launch of this route reflects Etihad's continued focus on expanding its network and responding to passenger demand for longer international connections.
