Birmingham Airport temporarily closed its runway on August 6, 2025, following an emergency landing involving a Beech B200 Super King Air operated by Woodgate Aviation. The incident resulted in one passenger sustaining minor injuries.

Airport authorities advised travelers to check their flight status before heading to the airport due to expected disruptions, including delays and cancellations. "Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight before coming to the airport, as travel disruptions, including delays and cancellations, are expected," the airport stated.
