Mexico’s Alila Mayakoba is now open for reservations, with stays beginning February 12, 2026. The property marks the debut of the Alila brand in Latin America and the Caribbean, taking over the site of the former Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya.

According to hotel representatives, travelers can book rooms using either cash or World of Hyatt points. "Travelers can now book the luxury hotel with cash or World of Hyatt points for stays starting Feb. 12, 2026, according to the hotel. The property is set to be the first Alila-branded resort in Latin America and the Caribbean, and it replaces the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya, which closed earlier this year and was a TPG favorite."

The resort features accommodations ranging from standard rooms at 538 square feet to a beachfront presidential suite spanning more than 4,500 square feet. Suites include two bedrooms with private balconies and bathrooms, living and dining areas, a private pool, butler service, and are spread over two stories.

Rooms offer views of various landscapes including oceanfronts, lagoons, gardens or golf courses; some units also have private plunge pools. Interiors feature light woods and stone materials along with rainfall showers and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Dining options at Alila Mayakoba include four venues such as The Beach Club—set among palm trees—and Casa Amate, which offers farm-to-table cuisine focused on Yucatan Peninsula flavors. There will also be a chef's garden workshop where local wines and spirits accompany dishes.

"Each room is spacious, ranging from 538 square feet to more than 4,500 square feet for the Alila beachfront presidential suite. That suite offers two bedrooms (each with its own private balcony and bathroom), a living and dining area, a private pool and butler service, all spread over two stories."

For those booking with points through World of Hyatt’s award chart system (https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/en/rewards/redemption/award-chart.html), off-peak nights start at 21,000 points per night; standard dates require 25,000 points; peak dates cost up to 29,000 points per night.

A sample search by The Points Guy found that during opening weekend (February 13-15), nightly rates for a king bed lagoon view room begin at $1,102 for World of Hyatt members ($1,353 for nonmembers). Alternatively, guests may redeem their stay for 14,500 points plus $699 cash.
