Boeing delivered 48 aircraft in July 2025, marking its highest July total since 2017. The company’s deliveries increased by 11.6% compared to July last year, though they were down 20% from June 2025. In comparison, Airbus delivered 67 aircraft in the same month.

The majority of Boeing’s deliveries were for the 737 MAX, with 37 units handed over to customers. Most of these went to lessors such as Air Lease Corporation (seven aircraft), AerCap (four), and BOC Aviation (three). Airlines including American Airlines, Allegiant Air, flydubai, Jeju Air, and Ryanair also received new Boeing jets.

In addition to the narrowbody models, Boeing delivered eight 787s to airlines such as All Nippon Airways (ANA), American Airlines, China Southern, Etihad, Korean Air, Scoot, and Turkish Airlines. Korean Air took delivery of its 25th Dreamliner and Boeing’s 125th 787-10 overall. Two 777 Freighters went to CES Leasing Corporation in China and France’s CMA CGM; UPS received a single 767-300 Freighter.

Boeing recorded a total of 31 new orders in July—30 for the 737 MAX and one for the 787-8—though all were listed under unidentified customers. The company’s order backlog now stands at nearly six thousand aircraft. So far this year, Boeing has delivered a total of 328 planes and reported net orders of 655 after accounting for cancellations and conversions.

Production rates are increasing as Boeing works through safety and quality challenges that have affected output in recent years. In May, production reached an FAA-imposed cap of rolling out up to 38 MAX jets per month. CEO Kelly Ortberg stated: “The manufacturer will have to show that it can maintain production at a higher rate before it can ask the FAA to lift the cap.” He added hope that this goal could be achieved within the year.

Airbus remains ahead in monthly deliveries but faces its own challenges with engine supply delays from CFM International and Pratt & Whitney affecting single-aisle jet output. Despite these issues, Airbus aims to deliver around https://simpleflying.com/airbus-deliveries-july-2025/820 aircraft by year-end—a potential increase of about seven percent over last year.

Airlines receiving Airbus aircraft in July included major carriers like American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Emirates, Jet2, Air France, Japan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and China Southern. Ethiopian Airlines began August by taking delivery of its fourth A350-1000 from Airbus.

Boeing continues efforts toward recovery following several challenging years marked by groundings and reduced output but is showing progress as reflected in its latest delivery figures.
