Allegiant Air has announced an expansion of its route network, adding five new routes that will connect eight cities, including the introduction of Huntsville, Alabama, as a new destination. The announcement follows a previous expansion by the airline last month.

The latest routes focus on linking smaller U.S. cities to popular vacation destinations in Florida. Three of the new routes will depart from Huntsville International Airport (HSV), located in northern Alabama near the Tennessee border. These flights will serve Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting November 19, St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) beginning March 5, 2026, and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) launching February 12, 2026.

Other additions include service from Appleton International Airport (ATW) in Wisconsin to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), which begins January 16, 2026. Additionally, Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) in New York will see flights to Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), starting February 13, 2025.

All newly announced flights are scheduled to begin between November 2025 and March 2026 and have a Florida destination or origin.

Allegiant’s strategy focuses on connecting cities with limited commercial air service to major leisure destinations using less-busy airports near metropolitan areas. The airline has also been expanding rapidly in Alabama after not serving the state previously. It began adding routes via Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF), targeting unserved vacation markets where many travelers were previously driving.

"As a leisure focused airline our unique business model allows us to quickly respond to consumer demand and connect underserved markets to top vacation destinations," Allegiant chief commercial officer Drew Wells said in a statement announcing the news.

As part of this expansion, Allegiant is offering promotional fares for several of these new routes with base fares starting at $39 one-way. However, additional fees apply for checked bags, seat selection or bringing a full-size carry-on bag onboard. Promotional fares must be booked by August 13 for travel through May 19, 2026.
