More than one-third of the drivers set to compete at the 2025 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC) will be representing Federal Express Corporation or FedEx Freight. FedEx is sending 174 drivers to the event, which will take place from August 20-23 in Minneapolis.

Participants will compete for national titles across nine truck classes and the overall National Grand Champion award. The competition tests driving ability and industry knowledge through a written exam, pre-trip inspection, and driving skills challenge.

FedEx drivers have had notable success at past NTDC events. Since 2003, they have won eight National Grand Champion titles, 76 National Champion awards, and 11 National Rookie of the Year honors. The team for this year includes five defending champions from last year’s NTDC and 18 previous national champions. Among them are Jackie Reed of Hattiesburg, Mississippi (2024), Roland Bolduc of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts (2017 & 2022), and Scott Woodrome of Middletown, Ohio (2018 & 2019), all former National Grand Champions returning for another attempt at the title.

This season, FedEx team members earned several distinctions: 24 drivers secured their state’s Grand Championship titles while eight first-time competitors received their state’s Rookie of the Year recognition.

The combined safe-driving record among this group is over 298 million miles without incident. Notably, 119 drivers have each driven more than one million accident-free miles.

The American Trucking Associations organizes the NTDC every year. The event began in 1937 as the National Truck Roadeo and requires participants to qualify through performance at state-level competitions.
