A LATAM Airlines Boeing 787-8 operating a flight from Los Angeles to Santiago returned to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after experiencing electronics problems during flight. The aircraft circled over the Pacific Ocean to dump fuel before landing safely at LAX.

The Ram Air Turbine (RAT), a device used in emergency situations to provide power when other systems fail, was visibly deployed on the aircraft. This deployment typically indicates a major power system issue onboard.

No injuries were reported, and all passengers and crew disembarked safely following the incident.
