JetBlue Airways has announced an expansion of its network with new and returning routes in Florida, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The airline will introduce service to Vero Beach, Florida for the first time and resume flights to Daytona Beach from its main hubs in Boston and New York.

The carrier will also launch new routes connecting Tampa to Punta Cana, Islip to Fort Myers and Tampa, as well as Fort Lauderdale to Santiago de los Caballeros. These additions are part of JetBlue’s strategy to strengthen its presence among leisure travelers and those visiting friends and relatives.

With the introduction of flights to Vero Beach, JetBlue becomes one of only two airlines serving the airport, joining Breeze Airways. The move is aimed at increasing JetBlue’s market share in Florida, a state known for high volumes of leisure travel.

JetBlue will return to Daytona Beach on December 4, 2025, offering two daily flights: one each to New York-JFK Airport and Boston-Logan International Airport. This marks JetBlue’s return after ceasing service there before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The airline is also expanding connections between Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip and major Florida destinations such as Fort Myers and Tampa Bay. These new routes will compete with other low-cost carriers including Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, JetBlue is focusing on the Dominican Republic by adding service from Fort Lauderdale to Santiago de los Caballeros and from Tampa to Punta Cana. The Tampa-Punta Cana route will provide daily flights starting in December. Previously, this route was served only by Frontier Airlines on a limited basis during the summer season.

"These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to serve customers where demand is strongest," said Joanna Geraghty, CEO of JetBlue. "By building on our core strengths along the East Coast and into key international markets, we’re working hard to offer more options for both leisure travelers and those visiting family."

JetBlue continues efforts under Geraghty’s leadership to return to profitability after several years without positive financial results. The company has focused on cutting unprofitable routes while expanding services that align with its established strengths.

Founded in 2000, JetBlue operates major hubs at Boston Logan International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, New York JFK Airport, Orlando International Airport, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
