Delta Air Lines has updated its Airbus A350 fleet in 2025, focusing on passenger comfort across all four cabin classes. The changes include a new color scheme, improved seat materials, and memory foam cushions. Custom lighting was also introduced to help travelers adjust to time zone changes more easily.

The A350-900 aircraft are available in three layouts: 359, 35H, and 35L. Each configuration offers a different number of seats in Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main Cabin. The 35L layout, which is the highest capacity version, is scheduled for retirement in October.

Delta One is the airline's top-tier class on these jets. According to the company, it features "spacious lie-flat seats, exclusive amenities from Missoni, and a chef-curated dining service while in the air." Premium Select sits between business class and premium economy and provides fold-out footrests and reclining seats with additional amenities.

For economy travelers, Delta Comfort offers priority boarding and extra legroom compared to standard seating. It also includes dedicated overhead bin space. The most basic option is Delta Main Cabin, which comes with free wifi, meals, drinks, and entertainment. Within this class are Basic, Classic, and Extra subcategories; Extra allows for full cancellation refunds.

In the Main Cabin section of the 359 and 35H layouts there are 190 seats each; the 35L has 245 seats but with slightly wider dimensions (18 inches wide) compared to the other two (17.4 inches). Taller passengers may prefer the 359 or 35H for their longer seat pitch (31–32 inches), while those who want more width might select the 35L layout.

Exit rows provide better legroom: row 40 on the 359 layout; row 37 on both the 35H and 35L layouts. In some configurations like the 359 exit row window seat is missing—so sitting behind it gives extra space.

Delta Comfort has similar numbers as Main Cabin in most layouts: 36 seats each for both the 359 and 35H versions but increases to 63 seats on the higher-density 35L. All offer increased pitch—34 inches for most layouts and up to 35 inches for the largest one. On some planes such as the 35L layout, Row 16 is an exit row providing even more legroom.

Premium Select does not appear on all configurations—it’s available only on the 359 and 35H models where it’s arranged in a roomier two-four-two pattern rather than three-three-three used elsewhere. Front-row seats tend to have more legroom but lack under-seat storage during takeoff or landing due to tray tables built into armrests.

Delta One suites vary by layout but generally offer privacy regardless of seat choice. On high-density aircraft (the soon-to-be-retired five-row version), window passengers must step over neighbors to reach aisles due to a two-two-two arrangement; nine-row configurations feature one-two-one seating with greater isolation at window positions. Seats closest to galleys or toilets may be less peaceful.

Beyond onboard amenities, Delta One tickets grant access to exclusive lounges at several major U.S. airports including New York JFK Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

Delta Air Lines operates as a full-service carrier from multiple hubs such as Boston Logan International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport since its founding in 1929.
