Dnata Catering & Retail has named Gareth Rees as its new Regional Chief Executive Officer for Australia and Southeast Asia. In this position, Rees will oversee the company's inflight catering and retail operations in Australia and Singapore, with plans to expand further into Southeast Asia. He will manage a workforce of more than 4,500 employees who prepare over 54 million meals annually for more than 275,000 flights, serving upwards of 70 airline clients.

Rees joined dnata Catering & Retail in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, he contributed to the transformation and growth of the business in the region. His promotion is part of dnata’s strategy to recognize and advance internal talent.

Rees brings over twenty years of international experience in finance and operational leadership within airline services, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. Before joining dnata, he spent more than ten years at Agility leading strategic projects across several markets.

Dnata’s catering and retail division employs over 10,400 people globally. The company produces more than 110 million meals each year from over 60 locations worldwide for various types of carriers including full-service airlines, low-cost operators, and VIP customers.
