Chase Ultimate Rewards will remove Emirates Skywards from its list of airline transfer partners on October 16, 2025. This change was initially reported by View from the Wing and has since been confirmed within the Chase app.

The decision comes during a period of notable changes for Emirates Skywards. Earlier this year, Citi ThankYou Rewards adjusted its transfer ratio to Emirates from 1:1 to 5:4 in July. American Express Membership Rewards is also set to reduce its transfer ratio effective September 16. In addition, Emirates began restricting first-class award redemptions to elite members in May, limiting access to premium seats for many travelers.

"Losing transfer partner options is rarely a good thing, this news likely won't upset many Ultimate Rewards members. Emirates Skywards has lost so much value over recent years that transferring Chase points to the program is no longer a popular redemption option," said Caroline Tanner of The Points Guy.

Despite these changes, Bilt Rewards Points and Capital One miles can still be transferred to Emirates at a 1:1 ratio for now.

As Chase prepares to end transfers to Emirates Skywards after October 15, customers are advised not to rush into point transfers unless they have specific redemptions planned and have confirmed award availability. Point transfers are irreversible.

Chase continues to offer other airline transfer partners that may provide strong value for Ultimate Rewards users.
