Delta Air Lines has opted to leave some of its new Airbus aircraft in Europe instead of bringing them to the United States for service. The airline is also removing engines from these newly built planes and using them to maintain its current fleet.

A spokesperson for Delta explained that this approach allows the company to keep its existing aircraft operational while waiting for additional components or resolving supply chain issues. This practice, though unusual, reflects ongoing challenges in the aviation industry related to parts availability.

By reallocating engines from new but undelivered jets, Delta aims to minimize disruptions and ensure reliability across its network. The decision highlights how airlines are adapting their operations amid continued supply chain constraints affecting aircraft manufacturers and operators worldwide.
