California-based JetZero has announced a partnership with SHZ Advanced Technologies to develop liquid hydrogen storage and distribution systems for its blended-wing airliner. The collaboration is aimed at advancing hydrogen propulsion as a potential alternative to traditional jet fuel in commercial aviation.
JetZero's aircraft departs from conventional designs by using a blended-wing structure, which merges the wings and fuselage into a single lifting surface. This design is expected to reduce drag, improve fuel efficiency, and provide more internal space for passenger amenities or fuel tanks.
