Alaska Airlines Group, which recently acquired Hawaiian Airlines, has announced a significant change in its branding strategy. The group will introduce a new livery for its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, replacing the existing Hawaiian-themed design with Alaska Airlines’ own look.

This move marks a shift for both airlines as they integrate under the same parent company. While Alaska Airlines customers may find the update appealing, some Hawaiian Airlines supporters have expressed concern about losing elements of their airline's traditional identity.

The rebranding is part of broader efforts by Alaska Airlines Group to unify its fleet and present a consistent image across its aircraft following the acquisition.

"We are committed to honoring both brands while building a stronger future together," said an Alaska Airlines spokesperson. "Our goal is to offer our guests more choices and greater connectivity."

No further details about the timeline for rolling out the new livery or how it will impact operations have been provided at this time.
