Secours Populaire hosted a large event at the Champ-de-Mars in Paris, gathering nearly 40,000 children from across France. The day was organized to mark the charity's 80th anniversary and focused on providing entertainment, concerts, sports activities, and cultural visits for children who had not been able to go on holiday.
The event took place on Wednesday, August 20. According to Secours Populaire, thousands of volunteers participated in making the celebration possible. The program included 160 different events spread over 20 hectares of the site and featured concerts by artists such as Vitaa and Bigflo & Oli. Sporting activities covered 26 disciplines.
Secours Populaire enlisted support from several partners, including Servair. The company contributed food donations for the afternoon snack enjoyed by both children and volunteers. These included chocolate desserts, madeleines, and compotes.
