Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of two new nonstop routes from Boston Logan International Airport to Madrid and Nice, set to begin in May 2025. The new service to Madrid will start on May 16, while flights to Nice will commence on May 17. These additions expand Delta’s European network for Boston travelers.

Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, stated, “As Boston’s leading airline, Delta plays a vital role in connecting the city to the world. By adding nonstop service to Madrid and Nice, we’re enhancing our European network and continuing our commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience from start to finish.”

The new flights will offer daily service to Madrid and three-times-weekly flights to Nice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This expansion brings the total number of European destinations served by Delta from Boston to 12.

In addition to these new routes, Delta is increasing its service frequency on existing routes. Daily flights to Barcelona will begin May 7, and four-times-weekly service to Milan will start May 16. Both services are launching earlier than last year in response to seasonal demand.

Delta’s presence at Boston Logan has grown significantly over the past two decades. The airline now connects Boston with approximately 70 destinations worldwide—up from 25 twenty years ago—and operates around 20 daily international flights in partnership with other carriers.

To enhance the passenger experience at Logan Airport, Delta recently opened a Delta One Lounge offering amenities such as fine dining and personalized service. An expanded Delta Sky Club provides additional space and features including soundproof work booths and shower suites.

Flights on the new routes will be operated by Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. Passengers can access various onboard products including lie-flat seats in Delta One, chef-curated meals, Missoni-designed amenities, curated dining options across all cabins, entertainment via Delta Studio, and complimentary Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members powered by T-Mobile.

Massport CEO Rich Davey commented on the expansion: “We appreciate our partnership with Delta and are thrilled about their plans to grow their operations at Boston Logan with these new offerings to Spain and France, including Nice which will be our 60th international destination. Starting next spring, these flights offer our passengers even more options to travel to Europe for business or pleasure. With over 130 destinations to choose from and a new focus on improving the customer experience, Boston Logan is going above and beyond to meet passenger needs.”

Delta employs more than 2,000 people in Massachusetts and works with local organizations supporting education, sustainability initiatives, and community development.
