Delta Air Lines is expanding its transatlantic network from Boston Logan International Airport, planning to operate a record 12 European routes in the summer of 2026. This move solidifies Delta's position as the largest operator for European flights out of Boston, with data from Cirium Diio indicating that the airline accounts for just over 20% of all transatlantic services from the city. When considering only U.S. carriers, Delta’s share rises to more than half.
In 2025, Delta operates regular European flights from ten U.S. hubs and airports, increasing to eleven when including its seasonal service from Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show. Boston ranks as Delta's fourth-largest hub for European widebody operations behind New York JFK, Atlanta, and Detroit.
Starting in May next year, Delta will introduce two new routes from Boston: daily service to Madrid using an Airbus A330-900 and three weekly flights to Nice on the same aircraft type. With these additions, Delta becomes the third carrier offering nonstop flights between Boston and Madrid—joining Iberia and JetBlue—and marks the first time Nice will have direct service from Massachusetts.
