The Lufthansa Group is moving forward with its New Distribution Capability (NDC) strategy in Singapore, expanding direct and NDC channel offerings in collaboration with Singapore Airlines. The initiative, set to begin on September 1, 2025, will make the most attractive Economy Class fares—including booking classes K, L, T, and S—available exclusively through NDC or direct channels for flights from Singapore to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Gilles Burgat, Lufthansa Group General Manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei said: "This step reflects our commitment to innovation and transparency, while offering our customers a wider range of content, greater choice, and more personalized services. Following the example of our Joint Venture partner Singapore Airlines, we are confident this transition will bring even more value to our corporate clients, agencies, and travelers commencing their journey in Singapore."

The move aligns with the Lufthansa Group's ongoing efforts in modern airline retailing. The company has been recognized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as having the most advanced API in the industry. This expansion aims to deepen the joint venture partnership with Singapore Airlines and strengthen its strategic focus on NDC within Asia Pacific.
