Travelers passing through Frankfurt Airport’s non-Schengen area have access to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge (B), located near gate B43. The lounge is accessible after passport control and is available to those with Miles & More Senator status or higher, Star Alliance Gold Status, and first-class travelers. Passengers with HON Circle Status or traveling in first class can also use the first class lounges and terminal.

The lounge is known for its spacious layout, offering various seating areas for dining, relaxing, working, and even a bar. One visitor noted that there were never more than a handful of passengers during their visit. “It’s ridiculous how nice this is,” said a travel companion upon entering the lounge.

There are multiple seating options including lounging areas opposite the bar, a large restaurant area, armchair seating by panoramic windows, and a sealed smoking room. Workspaces are equipped with plenty of plug sockets and fast Wi-Fi suitable for video calls and streaming.

Food options in the lounge include an open buffet with hot dishes and cold snacks such as pretzels. A recent visitor commented on the limited variety but praised the Green Sauce with boiled potatoes: “This was the best green sauce and potatoes that I’ve had in a long time.” The drinks selection is extensive, featuring self-service spirits, beers, soft drinks, local specialties like Possmann apple wine, alcohol-free beverages including Beck’s Lemon and 0% Gin, as well as a full-service bar.

Additional amenities include showers—described as spacious and clean—and a ‘Senator Spa’ where treatments are available for purchase. “There was no wait time for a shower,” one traveler reported.

Staff at the lounge received positive remarks for their service. “Every member of staff I came across…was as pleasant as could be,” one visitor said. Cleaning staff were specifically noted for being attentive and friendly.

The overall atmosphere was described as calm due to low occupancy on a Friday afternoon. There was no background music or announcements.

The Senator Lounge B (Non-Schengen) is currently closed for refurbishment but is scheduled to reopen on September 1st after a two-week closure period.
