Atmos Rewards, the new joint loyalty program from Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, has announced two promotions aimed at travelers flying through San Diego International Airport. The promotions offer a fast track to elite status and double points on eligible flights.

The first promotion allows members to earn Atmos Silver status after completing five qualifying flight segments and Atmos Gold status after 10 segments. To qualify, each segment must have San Diego as either the origin or destination. Only flights marketed and operated by Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines, or those operated for Alaska by Horizon Air or SkyWest, are eligible. Codeshare flights, award tickets, Saver (X) fares, and flights with other partner airlines do not count toward this promotion.

Participants must register for the promotion by March 20, 2026. Qualifying flights need to be completed between October 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Flights must also be credited to an Atmos Rewards account using the member’s number at booking.

According to the announcement: "Once earned, your promotional status will be valid through Dec. 31, 2026 — so the sooner you earn it, the longer you'll reap the benefits of your shiny new status. Both Atmos Silver and Atmos Gold members get valuable perks like seat upgrades, preferred boarding, free checked bags and bonus points earned on flights. Plus, you'll get the perks of Oneworld elite status (Oneworld Ruby for Atmos Silver members, Oneworld Sapphire for Atmos Gold members) on American Airlines and other partner flights."

A second promotion offers double points on eligible nonstop flights into or out of San Diego during the same period. Flights must meet all previously mentioned criteria to qualify for double points—namely being marketed and operated by Alaska or Hawaiian (or their regional partners), credited to an Atmos Rewards account, and flown between October 1 and March 31.

Eligible routes include nonstop service between San Diego and airports such as Atlanta (ATL), Austin (AUS), Boise (BOI), Chicago O'Hare (ORD), Denver (DEN), Fresno Yosemite (FAT), Honolulu (HNL), Las Vegas (LAS), New York JFK (JFK), Orlando (MCO), Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), Reno-Tahoe (RNO), Sacramento International (SMF), Salt Lake City International (SLC), San Francisco International (SFO), San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) and Tampa International Airport (TPA).

As stated in the terms: "Double points are based solely on flight miles." This means travelers will receive two points per mile flown instead of one point per mile on most routes; short-haul flights under 500 miles will earn a minimum of 1,000 points per segment.

Bonus points from this offer do not count toward elite status qualification.

Registration is required for both promotions by March 20, 2026.

These offers come shortly after the launch of Atmos Rewards as part of efforts by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines to integrate their loyalty programs following their merger announcement in late 2023. The integration aims to provide more benefits across both networks while encouraging travel through key markets such as San Diego.
