Emirates has announced that it is now offering Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 Champagne to its First Class passengers. The airline already serves Dom Pérignon Vintage across all its global routes and frequently features special vintages, allowing travelers to try some of the rarest wines and champagnes available.

Dom Pérignon produces both Vintage and Rosé Vintage champagnes only in exceptional years, with each expressing a unique style. The classic Dom Pérignon Vintage is a white champagne made from nearly equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, known for its refined mineral profile and notes of citrus, stone fruit, and toasted brioche. In contrast, the Rosé Vintage uses more Pinot Noir, including still red wine from the same grapes, which gives it a distinct color and structure. Both wines are noted for their balance and depth; however, while the Vintage offers finesse, the Rosé is characterized by intensity and boldness.

Describing the latest addition to its menu, Emirates highlighted that "Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 is the result of a particularly generous growing season, enabling the estate to produce a wine of profound ripeness, textural richness, and controlled power. It is sourced from Grand Cru vineyards such as Aÿ and Bouzy, with a significant portion of still Pinot Noir added during blending."

The airline detailed that after 12 years of maturation in cellars, "the result speaks to depth and aromatic layering, whilst preserving the wine’s luminous tension. The 2009 reveals an expressive bouquet of rose petals, orange oil and saffron, followed by vivid notes of raspberry, cherry, cassis, and fig, and evolving toward deeper tones of licorice and gingerbread. The palate is smooth and enveloping, with ripe, fleshy fruit and a supple structure," finishing with "a persistent sapidity and a memorable tactile imprint."

First Class passengers can check if Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 will be available on their flight through Emirates’ website or app.

Emirates has invested over $1 billion into its wine program over the past 16 years. The company buys high-quality wines early so they can mature before being served onboard flights. Its wine cellar in France stores around 6.5 million bottles; some will not be ready until at least 2035. Emirates offers dozens of French wines on board each year.

According to Emirates: "Ensuring its customers always ‘fly better’, Emirates purchases more champagne than any other airline in the world"—holding exclusive rights to serve several prestigious brands including Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015; Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 2006; Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial; Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé; Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Blanc 2016; Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label; Veuve Clicquot Vintage Blanc 2015—and Australian sparkling wine Chandon Vintage Brut 2019 exclusively for Premium Economy customers.

The company also provides an extensive spirits selection onboard featuring niche brands alongside well-known names like Hennessy cognacs across all classes.
