Emirates has announced several new appointments to its commercial leadership team as the airline prepares for further expansion of its network, fleet, and products.

The company has introduced new roles, including Senior Vice President, Network Passenger Sales Development and Vice President for Passenger Sales – Regional Clusters. These positions are intended to support Emirates’ regional growth, drive performance across different markets and segments, and foster corporate relationships aimed at long-term passenger growth and increased market share.

As part of this restructuring, two Emirati nationals have been appointed to lead key market clusters. The airline states that these appointments demonstrate its commitment to developing UAE National talent and building future industry leaders.

Matthew Scott will lead the Network Passenger Sales Development (NPSD) team as Senior Vice President. He will oversee Global Sales & Leisure teams. Previously serving as Vice President of Cargo Pricing and Interline at Emirates SkyCargo, Scott joined Emirates in 2018 after more than two decades in various international airline roles focused on commercial operations, revenue optimization, planning, corporate sales, leisure sales, and strategy.

Abdulla Al Olama has been promoted to Vice President Regional Clusters for Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He was previously Senior Regional Manager Commercial Operations Far East. Since joining Emirates in 2012, Al Olama has worked in areas such as Interline, Codeshare, Revenue Optimization, managing commercial performance in regions including the Far East, West Asia, and Indian Ocean.

Rashid Alardha has been named Vice President Regional Clusters Sub-Saharan Africa after serving as Country Manager Sri Lanka and Maldives. Alardha joined Emirates in 2009; his experience covers country management across eight countries spanning the Middle East, Africa, Far East, West Asia, and Indian Ocean.

Flavio Ghiringhelli moves up to Vice President Regional Clusters for South and Central Europe. Joining Emirates in 2018 as Country Manager Italy, Ghiringhelli brings senior leadership experience from aviation as well as hospitality sectors.

Later this month Pierfrancesco Carino is set to join Emirates as Vice President Regional for West and North Europe Clusters. Carino brings two decades of experience from various airlines with expertise in sales management, marketing strategies, distribution channels both online/offline (omnichannel), revenue management practices along with forming strategic partnerships; he previously worked with Emirates in Commercial Sales France.
