Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will soon add a new long-haul route to its schedule, with Royal Jordanian set to launch nonstop service to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman, Jordan. The new flights are scheduled to begin on May 10, 2026.

This development marks the first time travelers from Texas will have a direct flight to Jordan. The upcoming route will also become Royal Jordanian’s longest, covering 7,036 miles and surpassing its previous longest service between Amman and Chicago.

Royal Jordanian plans to operate the route four times per week throughout the year using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The aircraft is configured with 24 business-class seats in a 2-2-2 layout and 246 economy seats. Eastbound flights will leave DFW at 10:55 p.m., arriving in Amman at 8 p.m. the next day. Westbound flights depart Amman at 10:40 a.m., landing in Dallas at 5:05 p.m.

The timing of these flights is designed for convenient connections through Amman to more than fifty destinations across the Middle East and beyond.

This addition makes DFW Royal Jordanian’s fifth U.S. gateway, following existing routes serving Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Washington, D.C.

DFW has been increasing its long-haul offerings in recent years by attracting more Oneworld alliance airlines that can benefit from connections with American Airlines’ domestic network. Earlier this year, Cathay Pacific began flying to DFW; other recent international additions include Fiji Airways and Qantas.

Chris McLaughlin, CEO of DFW, stated: "Welcoming Royal Jordanian to DFW is another exciting step in growing our global network. This new nonstop connection to Amman is a first for North Texas and will expand our reach into the Middle East and further grow DFW's role as a key international gateway."

Award seat availability was limited shortly after the announcement but may improve as additional fares are filed and revenue management systems adjust for the new service.
