Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft has announced the results of its cash tender offer to repurchase up to EUR 300 million of its outstanding 2.00 percent convertible bonds due in 2025. The total principal amount of these bonds was EUR 600 million prior to the repurchase.

The company set the repurchase price at 100.6 percent of the principal amount for each bond, which equals EUR 100,600 per bond. Interest accrued from the last interest payment date up to but excluding the settlement date will also be paid on purchased bonds.

Lufthansa will use proceeds from a recent successful placement of EUR 600 million in convertible bonds due in 2032 to fund this buyback. After completing the transaction, EUR 300 million of the original bonds will remain outstanding.
