Delta Air Lines has announced an expanded flight schedule to Louisville International Airport (SDF) for the 2026 Kentucky Derby. The airline will operate flights from 10 U.S. cities, including new non-stop service from Austin and Raleigh-Durham.
“Kentucky’s prestigious pastime isn’t just a race, it’s an exciting celebration that our customers love to attend each year,” said Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning. “We’re adding over 3,000 seats and offering over 60 flights to and from Louisville for the 2026 event, making it easier for customers to take part in the celebrations, whether they’re drawn to the thrill of the race or the festivities.”
The schedule highlights include increased frequencies from Atlanta, Delta’s largest hub, with up to 10 inbound trips and 13 peak return trips during the event period. The New York-JFK route will see an upgrade to mainline service using Airbus A220-100 aircraft after strong performance in 2025. Additional direct flights will be available from Boston, Detroit (with larger aircraft), Los Angeles, LaGuardia, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Salt Lake City, as well as the newly added Austin and Raleigh-Durham routes.
