Alaska Airlines has introduced a new perk for its Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card holders, offering complimentary cocktails and specialty drinks at select Alaska Lounge locations. This initiative is part of the airline's effort to enhance benefits for premium cardholders following the relaunch of its loyalty program, Atmos Rewards, which now includes Hawaiian Airlines.

The Atmos Rewards Summit card comes with several features: eight Alaska Lounge passes per year, Global Companion Awards, travel delay protection, no same-day change fees, no partner award booking fees on redemptions, a $120 TSA PreCheck or Global Entry credit every four years, 10,000 status points annually on card renewal, point transfers to hotel loyalty programs, and the ability to share points with up to 10 other Atmos Rewards members.

A notable addition is the elevated bar program at Alaska Lounges. The airline operates nine lounges primarily on the West Coast and one at New York’s JFK Airport. Most have been recently opened or renovated. The new bar menu includes mixologist-curated seasonal cocktails made with premium spirits. Some options are exclusive to Summit cardholders; for example, The Summit Sunset cocktail is available only to them. Nonalcoholic choices such as Citrus Bloom and Spiced Mule are also offered.

Currently, this elevated bar service is available at all three Alaska Lounge locations in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), with plans to expand it across all lounges in October.

Atmos Rewards Summit cardholders can access these drinks at no extra cost by presenting their physical or digital card to lounge staff. They may also extend this benefit to one companion per visit. Other guests can purchase nonalcoholic beverages for $7 and premium cocktails for $9 if they do not hold the Summit card.

Access to Alaska Lounges is granted through membership or when flying first class on paid or award tickets longer than 2,000 miles with Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines. Day passes are available for $65; military members receive a discounted rate of $35. The Summit card provides eight complimentary passes each year.

While some observers note that free specialty cocktails may not be a primary reason for applying for a premium credit card like the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card, they acknowledge that such perks add value and could attract more travelers to use Alaska Lounges during their journeys.
