Jens Bischof Chairman of the Board of Management and Chief Executive Officer | Eurowings

L’Osteria and Eurowings have announced a partnership to offer passengers an Italian pasta dish, “maccheroncini colorati,” on board flights starting 1 November 2025. The dish will be served exclusively on Eurowings, Germany’s largest holiday airline, as part of its in-flight menu.

The recipe for the pasta has been adapted by experts from both companies to ensure it meets the requirements of airline catering while maintaining taste and quality. The maccheroncini are produced at L'Osteria's own pasta factory and flash-frozen using cold air before being packed for transport.

Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, said: “For our passengers, vacation already begins on board – not just when they reach their destination. That's why we place great importance on providing a special travel experience, and good food is a key part of that. In L'Osteria, we have found a great partner who shares our passion for quality and enjoyment and literally has good taste.”

L’Osteria operates more than 200 restaurants across ten European countries. Since 2015, its pasta has been made in-house at Pastificio No.12 in Nuremberg without preservatives or pasteurization.

Stefan Höllen, Vice President Supply Chain at FR L'Osteria SE, commented: “We are very proud of our pasta and all the happier to now be able to offer it high above the clouds with Eurowings. Collaborations like this not only give us scope for creativity and further development of our portfolio, but are also a great opportunity to bring our brand and products to an even wider target group. We are excited to see how our maccheroncini colorati will be received by passengers and already wish all passengers Buon Appetito.”

The new offering will be available for €8.90 through the Wings Bistro service on board Eurowings flights for at least six months beginning in November 2025. Passengers purchasing the dish will also receive a coffee voucher redeemable at any L’Osteria restaurant.
