FedEx has announced its first appearance at SEMICON Taiwan 2025, taking place at Booth No. R7924. The company is using the event to highlight the importance of logistics in supporting the global semiconductor industry.

At the exhibition, FedEx is presenting its global network and capabilities for handling sensitive, high-value shipments required by semiconductor companies. These products often need protection from vibration, temperature changes, humidity, and electrostatic discharge. FedEx offers services such as anti-shock packaging, temperature-controlled shipping, and digital tools designed to ensure secure and timely deliveries.

“This marks FedEx’s debut at SEMICON Taiwan, and we are excited to engage with key players across the semiconductor industry,” said Paul Sousa, managing director of FedEx Taiwan. “Leveraging our deep logistics expertise and extensive global network, FedEx is committed to supporting Taiwan’s semiconductor sector with innovative, intelligent supply‑chain solutions that improve efficiency, solve operational challenges, and advance sustainability. We empower our customers to build more resilient and agile supply chains, helping them maintain a competitive edge in the global market.”

Taiwan remains a central hub for semiconductor manufacturing worldwide. Industry analysis from the Market Intelligence and Consulting Institute indicates that Taiwanese manufacturers could represent about 80% of global production capacity by 2030 (https://mic.iii.org.tw/). The increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) is putting additional pressure on supply chains for greater speed and security.

FedEx is also promoting its Surround Monitoring and Intervention solution in Taiwan. This service uses SenseAware ID sensors powered by Bluetooth Low Energy technology to provide near real-time data analytics for shipments. It allows continuous monitoring of location data every two seconds—offering higher transparency than traditional scanning methods.

In line with SEMICON Taiwan’s emphasis on sustainable manufacturing practices, FedEx is demonstrating its adoption of lower-emissions transportation technologies in Taiwan as part of its broader goal to achieve carbon-neutral operations globally by 2040. Locally, the company has deployed 12 fully electric FUSO delivery trucks and partnered with Gaius Automotive to use Rapide 3 electric tricycles for urban deliveries.

Additionally, FedEx provides customers with access to carbon emissions data through its Sustainability Insights tool. This tool calculates greenhouse gas emissions following recognized international standards such as those set by the World Resources Institute Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

For more information about these innovations or specific details on service availability outside the U.S. and Canada, customers are encouraged to visit the official FedEx website.
