Japan Airlines has announced a time-limited airfare and hotel package sale for travel to Guam. The offer includes a 30,000 yen discount per person, available through September 16, along with additional perks for trips scheduled between January and March.

According to the Guam Visitors Bureau’s 2023 Annual Report, total visitor arrivals to Guam reached 671,382 in fiscal year 2023. This figure represents a 239% increase compared to the previous year but remains below pre-pandemic levels. The report identifies Japan as one of Guam’s largest tourism markets, contributing more than 35% of arrivals before 2020. With discounted promotions like Japan Airlines’ package, Guam aims to accelerate recovery by attracting Japanese leisure travelers.

Japan Airlines’ official campaign page details that the Guam time-sale package offers travelers a 30,000 yen discount per person and additional perks for January to March trips. These include unlimited shuttle rides and discounted admission to a beach dinner show. The promotion is limited to bookings made before September 16, creating urgency for customers. JAL positions Guam as a flagship deal within its broader overseas time-sale program, emphasizing the island’s importance as a leisure destination.

Data from the Japan National Tourism Organization indicates that the number of Japanese overseas travelers reached 1,054,045 in June 2025, marking a 13.3% increase year-on-year. Guam is among the top short-haul destinations due to its proximity and resort amenities. Campaigns like JAL’s time-limited offer aim to capture this rebound in outbound tourism by converting interest into concrete bookings with financial incentives.

According to Japan Airlines’ corporate profile, JAL is the flag carrier of Japan and a member of the oneworld alliance. It operates a global network of international and domestic routes and has been recognized consistently for service quality and safety. In addition to passenger flights, JAL offers travel packages through "JALPAK" and related subsidiaries, bundling airfare, hotels, and tours to enhance its appeal as a one-stop travel provider.
