Dieter Vranckx Member of the Executive Board Chief Commercial Officer | Lufthansa Group

Miles & More, the loyalty program of Lufthansa Group, has announced a new partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International's travel platform. The collaboration is effective immediately and allows Miles & More members to earn up to 120 Points per year toward their frequent flyer status when staying at over 30 hotel brands across more than 10,000 destinations within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. This benefit is in addition to points already earned on flights.

According to Lufthansa Group, this move will help more than 36 million Miles & More members achieve or maintain their status faster. Members will also gain access to exclusive advantages offered by one of the world's largest hotel loyalty programs without additional qualifications. Senators and HON Circle Members will automatically receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status.

Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group, stated: "Our groundbreaking partnership with Marriott Bonvoy opens up a whole new world of experiences for our customers. This milestone is an important step in our comprehensive loyalty strategy, which focuses on exclusive travel and lifestyle benefits. By offering our members privileged access to one of the world's leading hotel loyalty programs, we are delivering a truly unique value proposition and strengthening customer loyalty for both partners."

Satya Anand, President for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott International, commented: “Marriott Bonvoy and Miles & More each represent excellence in their respective spheres — hospitality and aviation. This partnership is a fantastic alignment of two trusted names, united by a shared commitment to enriching the travel experience. Together, we are unlocking distinctive benefits for our members, offering them greater flexibility, recognition, and reward."

To participate in the program expansion, members must link their Miles & More and Marriott Bonvoy accounts online. Once linked, they can earn forty Miles & More Points per stay at participating hotels within the Marriott Bonvoy network. A maximum of 120 points can be earned annually through hotel stays. However, at least half of Qualifying Points required for Frequent Traveller or Senator status must still come from Lufthansa Group flights; HON Circle Members qualify only through Business and First Class flights with Lufthansa Group Airlines or co-issuing airline partners.

Senators and HON Circle Members who match into Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status will receive 25 percent more points on eligible bookings as well as room upgrades and late check-out when available.

The cooperation aims to promote customer retention by motivating Miles & More members to engage further within both companies' ecosystems—earning points while traveling by air or staying at hotels operated by Marriott Bonvoy.

Further details about this partnership are available at https://onlineshopping.miles-and-more.com/marriott_bonvoy?l=en and marriottbonvoy.com/milesandmor.
