Etihad Airways has announced plans to increase its flight frequencies to two European capitals during the 2026 northern hemisphere summer season. The carrier will expand services to Dublin Airport in Ireland and Václav Havel Airport Prague in Czechia.

Starting March 29, 2026, Etihad will raise its Abu Dhabi-Dublin route from 10 to 13 weekly flights. From April 6, this will further increase to 14 weekly flights, offering passengers two daily round trips. These flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER and a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline marked its 15th anniversary at Dublin Airport in 2022.

"Our direct service from Dublin Airport has been a gateway for Irish travellers to explore hundreds of international destinations, including our home in Abu Dhabi, as well as Sydney, Melbourne, Bangkok, the Maldives, and the Seychelles. Our team in Ireland works closely with local partners to ensure a seamless journey and great customer service," said Martin Richard Drew of Etihad Airways.

For Prague, Etihad will also boost frequency on its Abu Dhabi route starting March 29 next year. The schedule will rise from four to six weekly flights initially, then become daily as of April 7. These flights will use the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with 28 business class and 262 economy seats.

This same configuration will be used for one of the daily rotations between Abu Dhabi and Dublin next summer. The other daily trip on that route will use a Boeing 777-300ER with seating for 28 in business class and 374 in economy.

The airline is also making changes on some Asian routes. As of April 2 next year, Etihad’s Monday and Thursday flights between Abu Dhabi and Male (EY372/EY373) will switch from Airbus A320s to new Airbus A321LR aircraft, which are expected to offer improved onboard experience.

Additionally, beginning April 1 instead of May as previously planned, Etihad’s EY414/EY415 flights between Abu Dhabi and Phuket will also see the Airbus A321LR replace the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on certain services. Next summer, Etihad plans four daily flights on this route—two with A321LRs and two with Dreamliners.

Etihad Airways operates out of its main hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport and was founded in 2003. Its CEO is Antonoaldo Neves.
