Marriott has introduced a new feature to its hotel booking process, allowing travelers to filter search results by properties that offer an Executive Lounge, also known as an M Club. This update aims to help Marriott Bonvoy members with Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, and Ambassador Elite status more easily identify hotels where they can access these exclusive lounges.

Previously, finding which Marriott hotels offered lounge access was not straightforward. Now, users can input their destination and travel dates on the Marriott website or app, select "All Filters," and check the "Elite Member Lounge" box. The system then displays only those properties with this amenity available. For example, in Tokyo, the filter narrows down 24 hotels to six that provide lounge access.

Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, and Ambassador Elite members receive complimentary lounge entry at participating brands such as JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Delta Hotels, Le Meridien, Westin, Autograph Collection, and Renaissance Hotels. The benefit is limited to resort properties for Sheraton, Le Meridien, and Westin brands and extends to eligible Courtyard locations outside the U.S. and Canada when a lounge is present.

The new filter joins other options in Marriott's booking process designed to help guests find accommodations suited to their needs. Travelers can also sort hotels by amenities like free breakfast—which may help families save money—pools for recreation time with children or pets-welcome policies for those traveling with animals. In total, there are 19 filters available including fitness centers and onsite dining.

Other major hotel chains are updating their search tools as well. Hyatt recently launched an artificial intelligence-powered search function in beta testing that allows users to specify criteria such as property category range or specific amenities like free parking in certain cities. Hilton offers numerous filters but has not yet integrated AI into its search platform; its features include digital keys and executive lounges among others.

"Though hotel lounges are harder to find these days, it's helpful for elite members that Marriott is now making it easier to find and book the properties that do. That said, other brands have already offered the option or, in the case of Hyatt, are looking ahead to use modern technology like AI to make the search process easier than ever."
