Dieter Vranckx Member of the Executive Board Chief Commercial Officer | Lufthansa Group

The Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card will be issued by Deutsche Bank starting October 1, 2025. The transition is set to be completed by spring 2026, and Mastercard will continue as the card partner. Cardholders will see new services and features added to their cards, while the existing benefits remain unchanged and the card price stays the same.

During the transition, customers will not pay a card fee for the first month after moving to Deutsche Bank. They will also receive a changeover bonus in miles and points based on their card product and frequent flyer status.

Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group, stated: "With the new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card, we have developed a product with Deutsche Bank that offers our customers significant added value – with proven services, attractive innovations, and a fresh design. We look forward to offering our customers even more benefits as part of this strong partnership."

Ole Matthiessen, Head of Cash Management at Deutsche Bank, said: "We are focusing on growth with Lufthansa's successful loyalty program. With the new credit card, we are expanding our offering for our customers as a global principal bank worldwide and look forward to offering them further attractive benefits and services in the future."

Dr. Peter Robejsek, Managing Director of Mastercard Germany, commented: "We are delighted to be working with our partners to usher in a new era for one of the world's most successful loyalty programs. The new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card offers cardholders a wide range of benefits – from secure and convenient payments to exclusive travel and lifestyle experiences."

Current holders of Miles & More credit cards are being notified about the next steps in writing. Frequent flyers will be contacted first and can take advantage of a special transition bonus. Other credit card holders and new applicants will follow gradually. Support during this process is available both online and in person.

Customers must reapply for their credit cards due to the bank change. Existing DKB-issued cards remain valid until they are replaced or canceled by DKB. Information on how to apply for new cards will be available on the Miles & More website from October 1, 2025.

The move covers all types of Miles & More credit cards offered in Germany—including personal cards like My Flex Credit Card, Blue Credit Card, Gold Credit Card, as well as business cards for self-employed individuals and companies. Further details can be found at http://miles-and-more.com/kreditkartenwechsel.
