"JetBlue has always been proud to call New York home, and no team embodies the passion and spirit of this city quite like the New York Jets. This refreshed livery is more than a new design; it’s a symbol of hometown pride. As the Jets take the field this season, this aircraft will take to the skies as a tribute to our shared roots that we’re proud to represent every day."
JetBlue has served as the official airline partner of the New York Jets since 2009. The partnership includes joint marketing efforts, stadium activations, and exclusive promotions.
Since leaving Macon for JFK on September 13, N746JB has operated flights between New York and other destinations such as Buffalo and Santo Domingo. On September 17, it departed for Kingston early in the morning.
Jeff Fernandez, SVP of Business Development & Ventures for the New York Jets, commented: "seeing this plane, and flying on it, is a chance to feel the energy, pride, and passion that define our team. It’s bold, it’s fresh, and it’s ready to carry fans into the 2025 season and beyond."
This is not N746JB's first NFL-themed appearance. According to Planespotters.net data cited in Simple Flying's review of past liveries for this aircraft model (https://www.planespotters.net/), it first received a subtle white-and-green Jets livery in October 2010 when just two years old; that version remained until September 2017 under the name 'I Love JetBlue / NY.' The second version leaned further into green branding starting in September 2017 along with an increase in seating capacity from 150 seats to 162 seats—a configuration that remains today per aeroLOPA (https://www.aerolopa.com/).
The current livery continues JetBlue's tradition of celebrating its connection with both its home city and local sports franchises.
