The Park Hyatt Tokyo is set to reopen on December 9, following a closure that began in May 2024 for extensive renovations. Reservations will become available starting September 24 at noon local time in Tokyo, or September 23 at 11 p.m. EDT for those booking from the United States.
The hotel, located on the 29th to 52nd floors of the Shinjuku Park Tower, has been redesigned by Paris-based design and architecture studio Jouin Manku. The renovation updates guest rooms, the lobby, dining areas, and event spaces while retaining elements of John Morford's original designs.
Previously offering 177 rooms and suites, the property now features 171 accommodations that have been reconfigured to improve connectivity between rooms. New features include updated signature green carpeting, Aesop skincare products, Italian Frette linens, and Japanese-style pajamas known as "yukata." The newly introduced Park Suites are sized at 915 square feet and provide separate living and sleeping spaces with views of Harajuku, Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, and on clear days, Mt. Fuji.
