Cathay Pacific has introduced a new Premium Economy cabin on its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, marking a significant update to its inflight experience. The airline first launched Premium Economy in 2012 and has since influenced the industry standard for this class.
The latest upgrade is part of a broader investment that also includes updates to Business and Economy classes. According to Cathay Pacific, the new Premium Economy product was redesigned using over ten years of passenger feedback. Key features include enhanced privacy through redesigned headrests, increased seat pitch of 40 inches, seat width of 21 inches, and an 8-inch recline. Each seat is equipped with a personal reading light integrated into the headrest wings.
Additional storage options are available within the armrest, aiming to create a more organized space for passengers. The entertainment system now offers a 15.6-inch 4K widescreen monitor with Bluetooth audio streaming capability. The cabin design uses muted colors and provides amenities such as luxury pillows and blankets.
