Lavinia Lau Chief Customer and Commercial Officer | Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific will resume non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Seattle starting March 30, 2026. The airline will operate five return flights per week, marking Seattle as its ninth passenger destination in North America. This move aims to expand the airline’s presence on the continent and strengthen its Hong Kong hub.

Earlier this year, Cathay Pacific launched direct flights to Dallas-Fort Worth. Due to increased demand, the frequency of these flights will rise from four times a week to daily service beginning October 26, 2025.

Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer at Cathay Pacific, stated: “We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States. This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India.

“Customers can immerse themselves in Seattle’s thriving tech scene, lush greenery and rich cultural offerings, while those travelling to Hong Kong and through our home hub can connect to more than 100 destinations around the world through the Cathay Group’s network.”

The new service will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring Business class with fully flat beds, Premium Economy seating, and Economy cabins. Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight schedule includes different arrival times depending on the period within 2026.

With this addition, Cathay Pacific's summer schedule for North America in 2026 will exceed 110 return flights per week across nine cities: Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.

Tickets go on sale September 22. To mark the launch of its ninth North American route (https://www.cathaypacific.com), Cathay Pacific is offering special round-trip fares in Economy class starting at HK$5,060 for travel between March 30 and June 30 of next year. The promotion runs until October 31; terms apply.

Cathay Pacific is also improving its customer experience on routes between Hong Kong and North America by introducing new cabin products such as Aria Suite Business class on selected Vancouver flights. Additionally, a new dedicated airport lounge spanning nearly 10,000 square feet will open at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 6 in New York in 2026.

Passengers can access inflight entertainment that has been recognized by Skytrax as the world’s best. Long-haul menus are developed with Michelin-starred restaurants based in Hong Kong.

For cargo clients (https://www.cathaypacificcargo.com/), additional options are available as passenger flight belly space supplements up to forty weekly freighter services operated by Cathay Cargo during peak season in summer 2026.
