Delta Air Lines has been named one of Massachusetts’ most charitable companies, receiving the Corporate Citizenship Award. The airline is noted as the only commercial carrier to be included on this year’s list.

The recognition highlights Delta’s involvement in the Boston area through strategic investments and partnerships aimed at creating opportunities. In addition to financial contributions, many Delta employees volunteer their time with local organizations, extending the airline's impact beyond its operations at Logan International Airport.

Earlier this year, Delta provided a grant to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) to help expand refrigeration capacity. This initiative aims to support the distribution of up to 10 million additional pounds of fresh produce, dairy, protein, and eggs annually across Eastern Massachusetts. Alongside monetary support, Delta employees also volunteer regularly at GBFB by assisting in warehouse shifts and mobile markets.

Recently, Delta operated a charter flight for Honor Flight New England that transported veterans to Washington, D.C., in recognition of their service. The airline also maintains relationships with numerous nonprofits in Greater Boston such as the American Red Cross, Boston Children’s Hospital, Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, KIPP Massachusetts, Museum of Science, Speak for the Trees, Marine Toys for Tots, UNCF, USO New England and YMCA – Greater Boston.

“Delta is investing in the Boston community, and Delta’s contributions and employee volunteer efforts are getting recognized by our customers,” said Candice Stover, General Manager for New England Sales. “We are thrilled to be chosen as one of Massachusetts most charitable companies.”

This award underscores Delta's ongoing commitment to supporting both individuals and organizations within Massachusetts.
