Emirates has introduced its Premium Economy class to Kuala Lumpur, deploying a retrofitted Boeing 777 on flights EK346 and EK347. The updated aircraft features four refreshed cabin classes, including the Premium Economy product, which is now available on nearly 70 destinations within the airline’s network.

Flight EK346 departs Dubai at 3:10 a.m. and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 2:25 p.m., while the return flight EK347 leaves Kuala Lumpur at 7:10 p.m. and lands in Dubai at 10:10 p.m., all local times.

The Premium Economy cabin offers travellers enhanced comfort with leather reclining seats equipped with full leg and footrests, adjustable headrests, in-seat charging points, a wood-finished side cocktail table, a 13.3-inch TV screen, as well as pillows, blankets, and complimentary amenity kits on select flights. Passengers are served regional dishes on Royal Doulton fine china with stainless steel cutlery wrapped in linen and can use a polished woodgrain dining table that folds into the seat. The service also includes premium wines and exclusive beverages throughout the flight.

Saeed Mubarak, Country Manager Emirates in Malaysia, stated: “Malaysia has been a key market for Emirates for nearly three decades. We are proud to introduce our latest generation and award-winning Premium Economy along with refreshed First, Business and Economy cabins to our travellers. The new interiors bring more comfort and more choice, ensuring every passenger enjoys a seamless and consistent journey, no matter how they choose to fly. It’s a reflection of our continued investment and sets us apart in the industry by offering a redefined travel experience for millions of passengers worldwide.”

This move is part of Emirates’ multi-billion dollar program to refurbish 219 aircraft; so far upgrades have been completed on 67 planes. The airline aims to provide nearly two million Premium Economy seats annually across its network by the end of 2025, with plans to double this number by 2026. Malaysian passengers can connect via Dubai to routes such as London Heathrow, New York JFK, and Lyon for an uninterrupted Premium Economy experience.
