A Rossiya Airlines Sukhoi Superjet 100 and a Hainan Airlines Airbus A330-300 were involved in a ground collision at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) on the evening of September 24, 2025. The incident occurred as the Rossiya aircraft was preparing for departure to Saint Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport, while the Hainan jet was scheduled to fly to Beijing Capital Airport.
According to reports from Reuters and AeroTime, the two aircraft—registered RA-89112 for Rossiya and B-1098 for Hainan—collided around 20:30 local time. The Aviation Safety Network provided details about the aircraft involved. The collision resulted in damage to the tail of the Sukhoi Superjet and affected the wing of the Airbus A330-300.
Rossiya Airlines stated: "While maneuvering, another airline's aircraft touched the rudder of our SSJ-100. Passengers on flight FV6097 were transferred to a reserve aircraft and safely transported to Saint Petersburg." There were 89 people onboard the Rossiya flight and 264 on the Hainan flight.
