In 2025, the Airbus A380 continues to serve some of the world's busiest long-haul routes, with Emirates operating the majority of these flights. According to data from Cirium.com, all five of the most popular A380 routes feature Dubai International Airport (DXB) as either their origin or destination.
The Airbus A380 remains the largest passenger aircraft ever built. Production ended in 2021, and there are no current plans for a successor. Despite this, Emirates has maintained its commitment to flying the super jumbo by acquiring secondhand jets and investing in upgrades.
The fifth most popular route is between Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Dubai. In 2025, Emirates will operate 1,098 flights on this route using its A380s. The airline maximizes capacity at both airports where slots are limited. The route serves tourists, business travelers, and cargo needs. “French tourists and shoppers flock to Dubai's tax-free malls and winter sun, while business executives enjoy the luxurious cabins as they travel to the United Arab Emirates.” Additionally, many passengers connect through Paris to destinations across Asia and Africa.
