Federal Express Corporation has expanded its intra-Asia air network by introducing two new flight routes aimed at improving regional logistics and supporting business growth in Asia-Pacific.

The company announced a weekly flight that links Incheon International Airport in South Korea with Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam, before proceeding to the FedEx Asia Pacific hub in Guangzhou, China. This route is expected to reduce transit times by one day for shipments from Northern Vietnam to both Asia and Europe across all FedEx services. The change is intended to increase reliability and capacity for customers engaging in trade between Asia and Europe.

FedEx also launched a daily direct flight between Incheon International Airport in South Korea and Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan. This connection is positioned as important for high-tech industries and the growing e-commerce sector within the region. Businesses such as Olive Young, a K-beauty retailer, are among those expected to benefit from improved cross-border logistics capabilities.

“Asia’s trade landscape is evolving rapidly,” said Kawal Preet, president of FedEx Asia Pacific. “We’re responding by strategically investing in our network to create stronger connections for businesses within the region and unlocking new pathways for growth, driven by the need to adapt to diversifying supply chains, rising regional economies, and an e-commerce landscape being reset by changing customer behaviors and market dynamics.”

These developments come as demand increases during the peak holiday season. The Asia-Pacific air cargo market has shown strong momentum due to shifting trade flows and increased exports of technology products from Southeast Asia. Intra-Asia trade now represents almost 60% of all Asian exports, while ASEAN has become China’s largest trading partner with bilateral trade reaching USD 962.98 billion in 2024.

FedEx states that it continues to invest not only in its air network but also in digital solutions and customs expertise to help businesses navigate changing trade conditions.
