Porter Airlines has announced the launch of three new routes connecting Canadian cities to major American Airlines hubs in the United States. The expansion follows the recent partnership between Porter and American Airlines, which enables travelers to earn and redeem AAdvantage miles on select Porter flights.
Starting in January 2026, Porter will operate three weekly flights between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW). In February 2026, service will begin with three weekly flights between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Ottawa, as well as daily flights between Phoenix and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). All routes will be operated using Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The new partnership is significant for both airlines. According to the announcement, "The pact allows travelers to earn and redeem American Airlines AAdvantage miles on certain Porter flights and earn all-important Loyalty Points toward elite status." Porter also maintains partnerships with Alaska Airlines and JetBlue.
